A Godly Lifestyle = A Life of Devotion.

Do you want to have a Godly lifestyle?

To have a Godly lifestyle is to live a life of devotion. And devotion doesn’t necessarily look like activity. It looks like intimacy with the King.

And intimacy doesn’t only look like a “Quiet Time.” It looks like loving God and walking in the footsteps of Jesus every day.

In 1 John 2:5-6 we read “…the love of God will be perfected within the one who obeys God’s Word. We can be sure that we’ve truly come to live in intimacy with God, not just by saying, “I am intimate with God,” but by walking in the footsteps of Jesus.”

Walking the footsteps of Jesus.

You can enjoy intimacy with God when you walk in the footsteps of Jesus! You do this by consistently being in His Word and being led by His Spirit. Being led by the Spirit is more natural than you may think. It's easy to overcomplicate this in your mind, but the truth is that you are a spirit-being alive to Christ - and you were made to live like this!

God is perfect. And He communicates perfectly to you! But maybe you’re wanting an answer to a situation, and you feel like you just can’t hear Him. The truth is that, if you serve Jesus, then you CAN! How do I know this? Because the Word says that you are His sheep, and you know His voice. (See John 10:27). You need to choose to believe the Word over what you think or feel at any given moment.

The Bible has every base covered! Whatever it is that you’re facing - whether it’s physical, financial, relational, or something else - it can be resolved with the Word.

How encouraging is that!

We serve an omniscient – all-knowing – God.

He knows if you've missed something that He’s already said to you, or if there’s anything that needs repeating. So don’t be despondent! Either He’s going to speak the Word to you – or He’s already spoken it into your situation – in which case just lay hold of it in faith! Just keep pressing in. His Word is all you need! It has the power to bring the results that you so desperately want.
